Life
It’s a way of life. Something you probably learned from a family member or mentor you looked up to earlier in life. Ernesto Sirolli asks about your, “entrepreneurial dna,” when he starts his Trinity of Management master classes.
Mine was father and familial. My dad started his first company on the kitchen table in the mid-80’s. He and mom named it after the kids, filed a patent and went for it. That company is still around and contributing to his nine grandkids’ college funds.
In retrospect, my entrepreneurial journey started with newspaper routes in 6th grade. Following the example of a neighbor friend. Delivered for the Chronicle, Times and Examiner at various times. Good learning experience.
Later, after I was in my twenties, I started my first technical services business at 23. It went pretty well. I had lots of hustle and in the mid-90’s anyone could sell networking services to SMBs. Another fine learning experience.
You’ve got your reasons. This is my first post on substack. Would love to hear your thoughts.
